How easy is this to remove? I need to apply some for a temporary event (10 days) but don't want to leave a sticky residue.

The adhesive on our anti-slip tapes is very strong and the product is typically used as a permanent soultion - even after only 10 days you may need to use a scraper and some appropriate 'thinner' or cleaning solution to lift any adhesive residue.

Can this be applied onto tarmac?

Not really suitable for application to tarmac, you might get away with it as a very temporary solution if the tarmac is super-clean, smooth and has stopped releasing the oily residue - but as a clear piece of advice we'd have to say it's not suitable. Can this be used on checker plate floor or the heavier diamond metal floors

I'd probably suggest the conformable tapes / treads would be more appropriate in this situation as they have an aluminium foil layer and form to the pattern better, though the conformable tapes don't have the same selection of colours as the standard tapes.
